Told you the avocado was here to stay! If it’s in season around your area too, then you’re welcome. If not, then refer here when it is. Win-win. Today’s recipe is a dessert. I mean what screams fancier than coming out of the kitchen with a dessert called a mousse? A little background; the mousse is a French dessert served mostly in fine dining restaurants. A classic chocolate mousse would contain five ingredients; chocolate, cream, sugar, eggs, and butter. I can almost taste the decadence. However, here at Dada’s Kitchen, we put a little spin on things always. We are all about guilt-free indulgence and this chocolate and avocado mousse is just that. It's mostly vegan, having swapped the above ingredients with more plant-based, healthier options. And the best part, it tastes even better. Our chocolate avocado mousse contains avocado, cocoa powder, vanilla essence, and honey. The ingredients are not costly, takes less than five minutes to make, and what’s better than a healthy dessert? So next time you have company and want to impress, whip this baby up. In fact, don’t wait for company, you deserve good things too, do you boo! (Makes 3 servings) One large ripe avocado 2 tbsp cocoa powder 3 tbsp honey 1 tsp. vanilla essence A blender Cooking instructions Peel the avocado and stone. Put it in the blender.

Add in the cocoa powder, honey and vanilla essence, and blend. Add a little bit of water if it’s difficult to blend but make sure it isn’t a runny consistency.

Blend until silky smooth with a creamy velvety consistency. Use a spatula to scrape off the sides Serve in shallow dessert glasses, put them in the fridge to set further.

And there you have it. A decadent dessert thanks to the humble avocado. It tastes more of the chocolate than the avocado if you want to be sneaky with avocado non-believers.
Happy tasting Dada Fam.
